Laser deposition welding method, comprises producing at least one molten filler material on a surface of a molten bath (4) by means of a laser beam (6) radiating on the molten bath and melting powder (5) of the filler material by means of the laser beam. The filler material is melted at a distance from the molten bath by the laser beam, and the molten bath is supplied in fully molten form. An independent claim is also included for a laser deposition welding device comprising at least one laser to melt at least one filler material and at least a powder nozzle, where the laser deposition welding method is carried out with the laser deposition welding device.
