The following article presents studies about the efficiency of an integrated electrical drive for hybrid cars. The aim is an optimization of the interaction of all sub-systems in the electrical power train. Approaches to improve the part load effi-ciency using an output-power-controlled operational strategy for the converters in the vehicles high-voltage electrical system are verified by measurements. Simulations of the hybrid vehicle are carried out to show energy saving potentials during realistic driving cycles.
