A vehicle body structure includes a side wall at least partially defining a cargo area. The side wall has an electrical fixture. A storage compartment assembly has a storage compartment and is moveable between an uninstalled orientation and an installed orientation where the storage compartment assembly is directly fastened to the side wall. An outboard panel of the storage compartment assembly includes a fixture receiving opening aligned with the electrical fixture with the storage compartment assembly in the installed orientation such that the electrical fixture is only accessible from within the storage compartment.
