An operation receiving device includes an operation unit configured to detect a position of contact of a finger of a user on a first axis and a direction of an operation of the user with the finger. The direction is orthogonal to the first axis. The operation unit is provided to have different tilt angles in accordance with the directions of the operation. The operation unit includes two tact switches that are each pushed down at any of the different tilt angles. The operation unit detects the direction of the operation on the basis of the tact switches that are pushed down. At least a portion of an operation surface with which the finger of the user comes into contact on the operation unit has a rounded shape having a shorter height than thickness from a base of a nail of the finger to a ball of the finger.
