Disclosed are a method for calculating a drivable distance of a vehicle and an apparatus therefor, which may further improve the accuracy of predicting a drivable distance. The method for calculating a drivable distance of a vehicle comprises: a step of allowing a vehicle's external system to transmit real-time traffic situation information to the vehicle in a state in which a driving route to a destination is set; a step of allowing a navigation terminal or controller embedded in the vehicle to receive the transmitted traffic situation information and acquire driving route and map information and the vehicle's front driving situation information to the destination in which the real-time traffic situation is reflected from the received traffic situation information; a step of allowing the controller to predict and determine predicted battery energy consumption consumed for driving to the destination from a current location by using a battery use prediction model that uses the acquired vehicle's front driving situation information and current vehicle state information acquired from the vehicle as input; and a step of allowing the controller to determine the drivable distance of the vehicle at the destination as a prediction value at the current location by using the determined battery energy consumption to the destination.

    목적지까지의 주행 경로가 설정된 상태에서, 차량 외부 시스템에 의해, 현재 위치부터 목적지까지의 실시간 교통 상황 정보가 차량으로 송출되는 단계; 상기 차량에 탑재된 내비게이션 단말기 또는 제어기에 의해, 상기 송출된 교통 상황 정보가 수신되고, 주행 경로 및 지도 정보와 상기 수신된 교통 상황 정보로부터 실시간 교통 상황이 반영된 목적지까지의 차량 전방 주행 상황 정보가 취득되는 단계; 상기 제어기에 의해, 상기 취득되는 차량 전방 주행 상황 정보, 및 차량에서 취득된 현재의 차량 상태 정보를 입력으로 하는 배터리 사용량 예측 모델을 이용하여 현재 위치부터 목적지까지의 주행을 위해 소모되는 배터리 예측 소모 에너지가 예측 및 결정되는 단계; 및 상기 제어기에 의해, 상기 결정되는 목적지까지의 배터리 예측 소모 에너지를 이용하여 현재 위치에서의 예측값인 목적지에서의 주행가능가능거리가 결정되는 단계를 포함하는 차량의 주행가능거리 산출 방법, 및 그 장치가 개시된다.
