According to the present invention, when a side collision occurs, a flange unit of a side member provided on the side of a battery case is deformed or broken from a partition wall unit to absorb a shock, thereby minimizing the penetration of the shock from the collision into a battery. In addition, disclosed is a battery case structure for an electric vehicle that protects a battery from impact by securing rigidity by designing a partition wall unit that forms a side member according to topology-optimal design.

    본 발명에서는 측면 충돌 발생시 배터리케이스의 측방에 마련된 사이드멤버의 플랜지부가 격벽부로부터 변형되거나 파단되어 충격이 흡수됨으로써 충돌에 의한 충격이 배터리로 침투되는 것이 최소화된다. 또한, 사이드멤버를 이루는 격벽부가 위상최적설계에 따라 설계되어 강성이 확보됨에 따라 배터리를 충격으로부터 보호하는 전기자동차용 배터리케이스 구조체가 소개된다.
