Disclosed are a supercap system for a vehicle and a control method thereof. A supercap system includes: a supercap connected to a main bus terminal of a vehicle and composed of a plurality of cells; a load device connected to the main bus terminal of the vehicle; and a control unit which monitors maximum-minimum voltage deviation of supercap cells, and if the voltage deviation is abnormal, determines the necessity of discharging the supercap through the voltage trend and temperature trend of each cell of the supercap, and erases the energy of the supercap through a load device when the supercap needs to be discharged. Therefore, the unnecessary wake-up of a vehicle controller is prevented.

    차량의 메인버스단에 연결되고 복수의 셀로 구성된 슈퍼캡; 차량의 메인버스단에 연결된 부하장치; 및 슈퍼캡 셀들의 최대-최소 전압편차를 모니터링하고, 전압편차가 비정상일 경우 슈퍼캡의 각 셀들의 전압 동향과 온도 동향을 통하여 슈퍼캡의 방전 필요성을 판단하며, 슈퍼캡의 방전 필요시 부하장치를 통해 슈퍼캡의 에너지를 소거하는 제어부;를 포함하는 차량의 슈퍼캡 시스템 및 그 제어방법이 소개된다.
