Described are a system for engine starting of a hybrid vehicle, and a method thereof. In one example, according to the method of the present invention, an engine is started depending on a vehicle status being within a range defined by equal to or more than one threshold. The threshold can be adjusted based on a history of an individual driving pattern. The method for preparing a disconnect clutch for the engine starting of the present invention comprises a step of increasing a driveline disconnect clutch line pressure.
