Disclosed is an icebreaker that can effectively remove ice that may remain between pod-type thrusters, thereby preventing strain on the pod-type thrusters or restrictions on the operation of the hull. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an icebreaker comprises: a hull; a plurality of pod-type thrusters which are provided with a propeller main body and a propeller rotatably coupled to one side of the propeller main body, are coupled to the rear of the bottom forming a lower part of the hull, and generates propulsion for the operation of the hull; and an ice removal unit provided on the pod-type thruster or around the pod-type thruster to remove ice that may remain between the pod-type thrusters.

    쇄빙선이 개시된다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 쇄빙선은 선체; 추진기 본체부와, 추진기 본체부의 일측에 회전 가능하게 결합하는 프로펠러를 구비하되 선체의 하부를 이루는 선저 후미에 결합하며, 선체의 운항을 위한 추진력을 발생시키는 복수 개의 포드(POD)형 추진기; 및 포드형 추진기 또는 포드형 추진기의 주변에 마련되되 포드형 추진기들 사이에 잔존 가능한 얼음(ice)을 제거하는 얼음 제거부를 포함한다.
