An objective of the present invention is to avoid a situation in which a fuel cell ship is stopped at sea during navigation even when a fuel cell failure occurs during navigation of the fuel cell ship or when a fuel cell reaches the end of its device life. The fuel cell ship includes a propulsion device generating propulsive force to a hull by electric power, a power supply unit supplying electric power to the propulsion device, and a deterioration rate control part adjusting a deterioration rate. The power supply unit has a plurality of fuel cells that generate electricity by an electrochemical reaction of fuel and at least one storage battery.

    (과제) 연료 전지선의 항행 중에, 연료 전지의 고장이 발생했을 경우, 혹은 연료 전지가 기기 수명에 도달했을 경우에도, 연료 전지선이 항행 중의 해상에서 정지되는 사태를 회피한다. (해결 수단) 연료 전지선은, 전력에 의해 선체에 추진력을 발생시키는 추진 장치와, 추진 장치에 전력을 공급하는 전력 공급부와, 열화율을 조정하는 열화율 제어부를 구비한다. 전력 공급부는, 연료의 전기 화학 반응에 의해 발전을 실시하는 복수의 연료 전지와, 적어도 1 개의 축전지를 갖는다.
