The present invention relates to a fuel level detection device for a fuel tank, which can accurately detect the fuel level of a fuel tank regardless of an inclined state of the fuel tank by using an electrical resistance value measured by a float of a fuel sender and an inclination angle measured by an inclinometer. The fuel level detection device for a fuel tank according to the present invention comprises: a float which floats on the fuel oil surface inside the fuel tank; a variable resistor which measures an electrical resistance value according to the height of the float to detect a height (H) of fuel; an inclinometer which detects an inclination angle of a vehicle; and a fuel level measurement control unit which, when the fuel tank is inclined at an inclination angle θ, calculates the volume of the residual fuel filling the fuel tank through equation 1, wherein V is the volume of the residual fuel of the fuel tank, A is the width length of the fuel tank, B is the vertical length of the fuel tank, H is the height of the fuel, which is converted from the electrical resistance value of the variable resistor, and θ is the inclination angle detected by the inclinometer.

    본 발명은 연료센더의 플로트에 의해 측정된 전기저항값과 경사계에 의해 측정된 경사각을 이용하여 연료탱크의 기울어진 상태에 무관하게 연료탱크의 연료 잔량을 정확히 검출할 수 있는 연료탱크의 연료잔량 검출장치에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명에 따른 연료탱크의 연료잔량 검출장치는 연료탱크 내의 연료 유면 상에 부유하는 플로트; 플로트의 높이에 따라 전기저항값을 측정하여 연료의 높이(H)를 검출하는 가변저항장치; 차량의 경사각도를 검출하는 경사계; 및 연료탱크가 θ의 경사각도만큼 기울어진 경우, 아래의 식 1을 통해 연료탱크에 채워져 있는 연료잔량의 체적을 산출하는 연료잔량측정 제어장치;를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 한다.
