The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for predicting the trajectory of a surrounding vehicle. Provided are an apparatus and a method for predicting the trajectory of a surrounding vehicle, wherein past trajectory information of a target vehicle and lane information around the target vehicle are input into a lane selection network (LSN), the learning of which is completed, to detect reference lane information, and the detected reference lane information and the past trajectory information of the target vehicle are input into a trajectory prediction network (TPN), the learning of which is completed, to output the future trajectory information of the target vehicle, thereby predicting the future trajectory of the target vehicle at high accuracy. For the purpose, the present invention may comprise: a storage part for storing a high definition map, a lane selection network (LSN), and a trajectory prediction network (TPN); and a control part for extracting lane information around a target vehicle based on the high definition map, inputting the lane information around the target vehicle and previous trajectory information of the target vehicle into the LSN to detect reference lane information, and inputting the reference lane information and the previous trajectory information of the target vehicle to the TPN to acquire the future trajectory information of the target vehicle.

    본 발명은 주변차량의 경로 예측 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 타겟차량의 과거 경로정보와 상기 타겟차량의 주변 차선정보를 학습이 완료된 LSN(Lane Selection Network)에 입력하여 기준 차선정보를 검출하고, 상기 검출한 기준 차선정보와 상기 타겟차량의 과거 경로정보를 학습이 완료된 TPN(Trajectory Prediction Network)에 입력하여 상기 타겟차량의 미래 경로정보를 출력함으로써, 상기 타겟차량의 미래경로를 정확도 높게 예측할 수 있는 주변차량의 경로 예측 장치 및 그 방법을 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위하여, 본 발명은 정밀지도와 LSN(Lane Selection Network) 및 TPN(Trajectory Prediction Network)을 저장하는 저장부; 및 상기 정밀지도에 기초하여 타겟차량의 주변 차선정보를 추출하고, 상기 타겟차량의 주변 차선정보와 상기 타겟차량의 과거 경로정보를 LSN에 입력하여 기준 차선정보를 검출하며, 상기 기준 차선정보와 상기 타겟차량의 과거 경로정보를 TPN에 입력하여 상기 타겟차량의 미래 경로정보를 예측하는 제어부를 포함할 수 있다.
