According to a method for improving a driver's hands on/off detection performance during driving of a driver's hands on/off detection system (10) applied to a vehicle (1) of the present invention, during the operation of a driving assistant system (5) during driving by means of a controller (30), an MDPS torque representative value and a vehicle measurement data representative value may be calculated as a representative value ratio between sensors before being discriminated by the size of the representative value ratio between the sensors, such that a sensor detection correction control (S60-1) which performs a hands on/off checking by using a disturbance torque critical value with respect to a torque filtering value, or a torque-based detection control (S70) which performs a hands on/off checking by using a torque maximum/minimum value with respect to the torque filtering value, may be performed. Therefore, according to the present invention, without using an electrostatic sensor, the measurement values of a longitudinal acceleration sensor (21) and a wheel speed sensor (22) of a vehicle pre-mounted sensor (20-1) which is the basic sensing means of the vehicle (1) can be considered as a disturbance (or an external noise) to correct a post-treatment result of the torque sensor measurement value. Consequently, by separating a disturbance driving area and a normal driving area, the present invention can reduce errors in the hands on/off detection.

    본 발명의 차량(1)에 적용된 운전자 Hands On/Off 감지 시스템(10)의 주행 중 운전자 Hands On/Off 감지 성능 향상 방법은 컨트롤러(30)에 의한 주행 중 운전 보조 시스템(5)의 작동 중, MDPS 토크 대표 값 및 차량 계측 데이터 대표 값이 센서 간 대표 값 비율로 산출된 후 센서 간 대표 값 비율의 크기로 구분되어 토크 필터링 값에 대한 외란 토크 임계값을 이용한 Hands On/Off 확인의 센서감지 보정 제어(S60-1) 또는 토크 필터링 값에 대한 토크 상/하한 값을 이용한 Hands On/Off 확인의 토크기반 감지 제어(S70)가 수행됨으로써 정전식 센서를 사용하지 않고, 특히 차량(1)의 기본 센싱 수단인 차량 기장착 센서(20-1)의 종 가속도 센서(21)와 휠 스픠드 센서(22)의 계측값을 외란(또는 외부 노이즈)로 하여 토크 센서 계측값의 후처리 결과를 보정함으로써 외란 주행 영역과 일반 주행 영역의 분리를 통해 Hands On/Off 감지 오류를 줄여 주는 특징이 구현된다.
