The present invention relates to a wireless charging system for an electric vehicle and a method thereof. The wireless charging system for an electric vehicle includes: a wireless power transfer device installed at an indoor or outdoor specific place, and transmitting a unique certificate of a charging pad for a charging station registered in advance, wherein the wireless power transfer device includes a charging pad module for a charging station including at least a wireless coil for wirelessly charging an electric vehicle; and a wireless power charging device installed in the electric vehicle. The wireless power charging device receives the unique certificate of the charging pad for the charging station, which is transmitted from the wireless power transfer device via short-range wireless communication, and performs verification of a cross certificate and the unique certificate for a vehicle registered in advance. In addition, the wireless power charging device shares a unique authentication token generated by the wireless power transfer device with each other by having secure session connection via the short-range wireless communication with the wireless power transfer device when the verification of the cross certificate is completed. The wireless power charging device includes a charging pad module for a vehicle wirelessly receiving the power transferred from the charging pad module for a charging station of the wireless power transfer device via the unique authentication token and charging a battery installed in the electric vehicle. The wireless charging system for an electric vehicle can facilitate security management of sensitive information as a user confirmation and authentication protocol operates by the short-range wireless communication with the wireless power charging device.

    본 발명은 전기 자동차의 무선충전 시스템 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로서, 실내 또는 실외의 특정 장소에 설치되며, 기 등록된 충전소용 충전패드 고유인증서를 근거리 무선통신으로 전송함과 아울러 전기 자동차의 무선충전을 위한 적어도 하나의 무선코일을 내장한 충전소용 충전패드모듈을 구비하는 무선전력 전송장치와, 전기 자동차의 내부에 구비되며, 무선전력 전송장치로부터 근거리 무선통신으로 전송된 해당 충전소용 충전패드 고유인증서를 제공받아 기 등록된 차량용 고유인증서와 상호 인증서 검증을 수행하고, 상호 인증서 검증 완료 시 무선전력 전송장치와 근거리 무선통신 보안세션 연결을 맺어 무선전력 전송장치로부터 생성된 고유한 인증토큰을 서로 공유하며, 해당 고유한 인증토큰을 통해 무선전력 전송장치의 충전소용 충전패드모듈로부터 전송된 전력을 무선으로 제공받아 전기 자동차에 내장된 배터리를 충전하기 위한 차량용 충전패드모듈을 구비하는 무선전력 충전장치를 포함함으로써, 무선전력 충전장치와의 근거리 무선통신에 의한 사용자 확인 및 인증 프로토콜이 작동하면서 민감정보의 보안관리가 용이한 효과가 있다.
