The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for controlling an interval between a preceding train and a following train so that the trains can run with the minimum interval without needing to make the following train separately reduce its speed to avoid a collision with the preceding train at an urban railway station section. According to the present invention, the apparatus for controlling the interval between urban railway trains comprises: a reception unit receiving an execution driving profile including the position, speed, and acceleration of a preceding train driving in a station section from the preceding train; a train driving information measuring unit measuring the driving information of a following train including the speed and position of the following train which drives toward the preceding train; a driving profile generation unit generating the following train's execution driving profile including the brake delay time of the following train from the driving information of the following train as well as the execution driving profile of the preceding train; and a train driving unit driving the following train in accordance with the following train execution driving profile.

    본 발명은 도시철도 역 구간에서 후속열차가 선행열차와의 추돌을 피하기 위하여 별도로 감속할 필요 없이 최소 시격으로 운행할 수 있도록 선행열차와 후속열차의 간격을 제어하는 장치와 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 도시철도 열차 간격 제어장치는 역 구간을 주행하는 선행열차의 위치, 속도, 가속도를 포함하는 실행운전 프로파일을 선행열차로부터 수신하는 수신부, 선행열차를 향하여 주행하는 후속열차의 속도와 위치를 포함한 주행정보를 측정하는 열차 주행정보 측정부, 선행열차의 실행운전 프로파일과 후속열차의 주행정보로부터 후속열차의 제동연기시간을 포함하는 후속열차 실행운전 프로파일을 생성하는 운전 프로파일 생성부 및, 후속열차 실행운전 프로파일에 따라 후속열차를 구동시키는 열차 구동부를 포함한다.
