The present invention relates to a vehicle capable of more effectively and highly reliable peripheral image correction, and a peripheral image correction method therefor. The peripheral image correction method for the vehicle according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the following steps of: determining whether a lane and vehicle speed control function is activated; determining whether a road condition and a connected car service (CCS)-based external environmental condition are satisfied, respectively, when it is determined that the lane and vehicle speed control function is activated; and performing automatic correction of a surround view monitor (SVM) function when both the external environmental condition and the road condition are satisfied.

    본 발명은 보다 효과적이고 신뢰성이 높은 주변 영상 보정이 가능한 차량 및 그를 위한 주변 영상 보정 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 차량용 주변 영상 보정 방법은, 차로 및 차속 제어 기능의 활성화 여부를 판단하는 단계; 상기 차로 및 차속 제어 기능이 활성화된 것으로 판단되면, 도로 조건 및 커넥티드 카 서비스(CCS) 기반의 외부 환경 조건의 만족 여부를 각각 판단하는 단계; 및 상기 외부 환경 조건 및 상기 도로 조건이 모두 만족되면, SVM(Surround View Monitor)기능의 자동 보정을 수행하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
