The present invention relates to a fuel oil conversion system for a ship and a method thereof, which can shorten the time for switching between different fuel oils. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a fuel oil conversion system for a ship for converting the fuel oil of an engine from a first fuel oil to a second fuel oil comprises the steps of: determining the minimum number of engines to be operated according to the current power load of a ship; maximally increasing the load of at least one engine to be operated according to the minimum number of operation; and performing fuel oil conversion for the engine in which the load is increased to the maximum.

    본 발명은 서로 다른 연료유의 전환 시간을 단축할 수 있는, 선박의 연료유 전환 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 실시예에 따른 선박의 연료유 전환 방법은, 제1 연료유에서 제2 연료유로 엔진의 연료유를 전환하는 선박의 연료유 전환 방법에 있어서, 상기 선박의 현재 전력 부하에 따라 다수대의 엔진의 최소 운전 대수를 정하는 단계; 상기 최소 운전 대수에 따라 가동시킬 적어도 1대의 엔진의 부하를 최대로 상승시키는 단계; 및 상기 부하를 최대로 높인 엔진에 대해 연료유 전환을 실시하는 단계;를 포함한다.
