Disclosed are an apparatus for controlling parking of a vehicle and a control method thereof. According to an aspect of the present invention, an apparatus for controlling parking of a vehicle comprises: an image acquisition unit acquiring an image of the ground captured by a camera mounted on a vehicle; a ground condition estimation unit including a learning model which is trained in advance and using the image inputted into the learning model to estimate the ground condition corresponding to the ground; a distance acquisition unit using a radar signal acquired from a radar mounted on the vehicle to calculate the distance from the vehicle to the ground; a determination unit determining whether the vehicle can be parked on the ground, based on the ground condition and the distance; and a control unit generating control information for controlling parking of a vehicle. Accordingly, a damage state of the ground can be recognized, based on the image collected by using the camera and location information collected by using the radar to prevent an accident which damages the vehicle.

    주차제어장치 및 그 제어방법을 개시한다. 본 개시의 일 측면에 의하면, 차량에 장착된 카메라(camera)로부터 지면(ground)을 촬영한 이미지(image)를 획득하는 이미지 획득부(image acquisition unit); 사전에 트레이닝된 학습모델(learning model)을 포함하고, 상기 이미지를 상기 학습모델에 입력하여 상기 지면에 대응하는 지면상태를 추정하는 지면상태 추정부(ground condition estimation unit); 상기 차량에 장착된 레이더(radar)로부터 획득한 레이더 신호를 이용하여 상기 차량과 상기 지면 간의 거리를 산출하는 거리 획득부(distance acquisition unit); 상기 지면상태 및 상기 거리에 기초하여 상기 지면의 주차가능 여부를 판단하는 판단부(determination unit); 및 상기 차량의 주차제어를 위한 제어정보를 생성하는 제어부(control unit)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 주차제어장치를 제공한다.
