An objective of the present invention is to provide a protection circuit for protecting a DC-DC converter from switching loss. According to the present invention, the protection circuit is for a DC-DC converter including: a buck switch connected between a voltage input terminal and a first node, and controlled by a duty cycle and a switching period of a switching signal; a buck inductor connected between the first node and a voltage output terminal; a buck capacitor connected between the voltage output terminal and ground; and a buck diode connected between a second node and the ground. The protection circuit is connected to the first node, the second node, and the ground. The protection circuit is configured to provide a protection voltage between the first node and the ground such that voltage stress of the buck switch is smaller than an input voltage provided between the voltage input terminal and the ground when the buck switch switches between an on state and an off state by the switching signal.

    본 발명에 따른 보호 회로는, 전압 입력단과 제1 노드 사이에 연결되고, 스위칭 신호의 스위칭 주기 및 듀티 사이클에 의해 제어되는 벅 스위치; 상기 제1 노드와 전압 출력단 사이에 연결되는 벅 인덕터; 상기 전압 출력단과 접지 사이에 연결되는 벅 커패시터; 및 제2 노드와 상기 접지 사이에 연결되는 벅 다이오드를 포함하는 DC-DC 컨버터를 위한 것이다. 상기 보호 회로는, 상기 제1 노드, 상기 제2 노드 및 상기 접지에 연결된다. 상기 보호 회로는, 상기 스위칭 신호에 의해 상기 벅 스위치가 온 상태와 오프 상태 간에서 전환 시, 상기 벅 스위치의 전압 스트레스가 상기 전압 입력단과 상기 접지 간에 제공되는 입력 전압보다 작도록, 상기 제1 노드와 상기 접지 사이에 보호 전압을 제공하도록 구성된다.
