According to one embodiment, an electromechanical brake system, which is an electromechanical brake system including an actuator of an electromechanical brake operated by a motor, includes: a motor driving part driving the motor; and a control part electrically connected with the motor driving part. The control part determines whether a braking application mode and a braking release mode of an electromechanical brake are continuously repeated, when the braking application mode and the braking release mode are continuously repeated, determines whether a clamping force is released after a change from the braking application mode to the braking release mode, and then, when the clamping force is not released after the change the braking release mode, controls the motor driving part so as to rotate the motor to release the clamping force. Therefore, the present invention is capable of preventing a driver from feeling a sense of difference while repetitively pressing and releasing the brake pedal.

    일실시예에 따른 전기 기계식 브레이크 시스템은 모터에 의하여 작동하는 전기 기계식 브레이크의 액추에이터를 포함하는 전기 기계식 브레이크 시스템에 있어서, 모터를 구동시키는 모터 구동부; 및 모터 구동부와 전기적으로 연결되는 제어부를 포함하고, 제어부는 전기 기계식 브레이크의 제동 작동(Apply) 모드와 제동 작동 해제(Release) 모드가 계속해서 반복되는지를 판단하고, 제동 작동 모드와 제동 작동 해제 모드가 계속해서 반복되면, 제동 작동 모드에서 제동 작동 해제 모드로 변경된 후에 클램핑 포스가 해제되지 않는지를 판단하고, 제동 작동 해제 모드로 변경된 후에 클램핑 포스가 해제되지 않으면, 클램핑 포스를 해제하기 위해 모터를 회전시키도록 모터 구동부를 제어하는 것을 포함한다.
