The present invention relates to a method for controlling a vehicle driving mode for improving an MHSG efficiency and a hybrid vehicle thereof. The method for controlling the vehicle driving mode for improving the MHSG efficiency applied to the hybrid vehicle (1) is able to, when the vehicle (1) is switched from an electric vehicle (EV) mode into a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) mode by a mode controller (60) while driving in the EV mode, lower a motor RPM of a driving motor (30) compared with the EV mode by the control of the transmission ratio of a continuously variable transmission (CVT), synchronize the motor RPM with an engine RPM by driving the engine (10), bond a clutch (20), and lower only the speed of the driving motor (30) while keeping the speed of the vehicle as it is. Accordingly, the present invention is able to improve the MHSG efficiency of the 48V P2 system, reduce the time required for switching the EV mode into the HEV mode, and improve the SOC of the battery and fuel efficiency.

    본 발명의 하이브리드 차량(1)에 적용된 MHSG 효율 향상을 위한 차량 주행모드제어 방법은 차량(1)의 EV모드(Electric Vehicle Mode) 주행 중 모드 제어기(60)에 의해 HEV모드(Hybrid Electric Vehicle Mode)로 전환이 이루어지면, CVT(Continuously Variable Transmission)의 변속비 제어로 상기 EV모드 대비 구동 모터(30)의 모터 RPM이 낮춰진 상태에서 엔진(10)의 구동에 의한 엔진 RPM과 동기화된 후 클러치(20)를 접합시켜 줌으로써 차량의 속도를 그대로 유지한 상태에서 구동 모터(30)의 속도 만 낮추어 48V P2 시스템의 MHSG 효율 향상과 함께 EV에서 HEV로 모드변환에 드는 소요 시간을 감소하여 배터리의 SOC 및 연비 측면이 개선됨을 특징으로 한다.
