The present invention relates to technology for improving deployment speed and deployment balance of an air bag cushion by improving a folding structure of the air bag cushion. Disclosed are a side air bag for a vehicle, and a folding method thereof, which form a third state by folding the air bag cushion in a roll shape in a first state of folding a front end of the air bag cushion into the rear end of the air bag cushion after forming a second state by folding the upper end and the lower end of the air bag cushion to be overlapped with an intermediate end.

    본 발명은 에어백쿠션의 폴딩 구조 개선을 통해 에어백쿠션의 전개 속도와 전개 밸런스를 향상시키는 기술에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에서는, 에어백쿠션의 전단을 에어백쿠션 후단을 향해 내부로 접어 넣은 제1상태에서, 에어백쿠션의 상단과 하단을 중단에 겹쳐지도록 접어 제2상태를 이룬 후에, 상기 에어백쿠션을 롤 형상으로 접어 제3상태를 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는 차량용 사이드 에어백 및 그 폴딩방법이 소개된다.
