Disclosed is a power factor correction circuit, comprising: a plurality of legs each including two switching elements connected in series with each other and connected in parallel with each other; a plurality of inductors each having one end connected to a node to which the two switching elements included in the plurality of legs are interconnected; and a controller controlling an on-off state of the switching element by a pulse width modulation method, and controlling the on-off state of the switching element to build up each of the plurality of inductors twice or more in one switching period of the switching element when an AC voltage is applied to the other end of the inductor.

    상호 직렬 연결된 두 개의 스위칭 소자를 각각 포함하며 상호 병렬 관계로 연결된 복수의 레그; 상기 복수의 레그에 포함된 두 스위칭 소자가 상호 연결된 노드에 각각 일단이 연결된 복수의 인덕터; 및 상기 스위칭 소자의 온-오프 상태를 펄스폭 변조 방식으로 제어하되, 상기 인덕터의 타단으로 교류 전압이 인가될 때 상기 스위칭 소자의 한 스위칭 주기에 상기 복수의 인덕터 각각을 두 번 이상 빌드업 하도록 상기 스위칭 소자의 온-오프 상태를 제어하는 컨트롤러를 포함하는 역률 보상 회로가 개시된다.
