Disclosed are a platform device for recycling a secondary battery and a method for recycling a secondary battery using the same. The platform device grasps a deterioration cause of a secondary battery based on state information of the secondary battery received from an electric vehicle or an energy storage system through wireless communication or wired communication, stores the same, and requests an used secondary battery having the same deterioration cause for recycling. According to the present invention, used secondary batteries can be classified by the same deterioration cause to be recycled without a separate inspection.
