The present technology discloses a device for tightly detecting a line switcher. According to a specific embodiment of the present technology, a close spacing between a basic rail and a tongue rail is outputted based on basic rail and tongue rail pixels obtained from a camera installed at a predetermined position on the basic rail, and pixels of a reference object having a fixed value, so that the accuracy of the close contact between the basic rail and the tongue rail is fundamentally improved. In addition, the presence of foreign substances between the basic rail and the tongue rail is diagnosed by using an SSIM value derived through a structural similarity calculation on an acquired image between the basic rail and the tongue rail, so that the adhesion failure of the line switcher due to foreign substances is detected in advance, and accordingly, trains and manpowers are efficiently operated.
