According to the present invention, a hands-of-detection (HOD) cover (1) for a steering wheel comprises a HOD pad (10) of which the fabric (11) surface-plated with a conductive plating surface (13) generating a detection reaction to a hands-on state and a hands-off state by physical contact is made of nonwoven fabric or sponge resulting from foaming nonwoven fabric. A high elongation is possible in comparison to an insufficient elongation in conductive fabric. Specifically, leather surface wrinkles are not formed in an assembly process of a leather cover added to the HOD pad by using the high elongation of nonwoven fabric or sponge resulting from foaming nonwoven fabric in comparison to woven conductive fabric using conventional metal coating yarn to realize the feature of reducing costs by maintaining the assembly process.

    본 발명의 조향 휠 HOD 커버(1)는 물리적 접촉에 의한 접촉 상태(Hands ON) 및 비 접촉 상태(Hands OFF)에 대한 감지 반응이 발생되는 전도성 도금 면(13)을 표면 도금한 원단(11)이 부직포 또는 부직포를 발포한 스폰지로 이루어진 HOD 패드(10)가 포함됨으로써 전도성 섬유에서 부족한 신율 대비 고 신율이 가능하고, 특히 기존의 금속 코팅사를 이용한 직조타입의 전도성 섬유 대비 부직포 또는 부직포를 발포한 스폰지의 고 신율 활용으로 HOD 패드에 덧대어지는 가죽커버의 조립 공정에서 가죽 표면 주름을 형성하지 않음으로써 조립공정 유지에 의한 원가 절감도 가능한 특징이 구현된다.
