The present invention relates to a device and a method for managing charging of a vehicle battery, wherein the device includes: a generator voltage measuring unit for measuring a voltage of a generator that generates a voltage by the engine torque of a vehicle; a vehicle driving state grasping unit for grasping a vehicle driving state based on the magnitude of the measured voltage of the generator; and a charging mode control unit that charges the vehicle battery in a generator charging mode when it is detected that vehicle's ignition is in the ON state as a grasped result, and charges the vehicle battery in a solar power generation mode when it is detected that the vehicle's ignition is in the OFF state.

    본 발명은 차량용 배터리 충전 관리 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 차량의 엔진 회전력에 의해 전압을 발전시키는 발전기의 전압을 측정하는 발전기 전압 측정부, 측정된 발전기의 전압의 크기를 토대로 차량의 구동 상태를 파악하는 차량 구동 상태 파악부 및 파악 결과, 차량의 시동이 ON 상태인 것으로 감지되면 발전기 충전 모드로 차량의 배터리를 충전하고, 차량의 시동이 OFF 상태인 것으로 감지되면 태양광 발전 모드로 차량의 배터리를 충전하도록 제어하는 충전 모드 제어부를 포함한다.
