A model water tank is disclosed. The model water tank comprises: a water tank unit storing water therein; a tide generation unit installed on one surface of the water tank unit to generate a tide; and a flow velocity control unit having a porous structure positioned to be spaced from the tide generation unit at a predetermined interval and controlling a flow velocity of the tide to be uniform in the water tank unit.
