The present invention relates to an apparatus for determining a travel route of an autonomous vehicle, which comprises: a sensor unit which detects at least one information related to the status information of the vehicle, surrounding obstacle information, surrounding traffic information, road status information, and the weather; and a control unit which analyzes the travel status, environment, and possibility of collision based on the information detected by the sensor unit, controls the steering and braking unit for avoiding a collision, determines the travel route which can make the damage to the passengers minimum when it is determined that it is impossible to avoid the collision, and controls the steering and braking unit. The apparatus and the method for determining a travel route of an autonomous vehicle are able to determine the travel route which can minimize the damage to the passengers in case of a collision.

    본 발명은 자율주행 차량의 주행경로 결정 장치에 관한 것으로, 차량의 상태 정보, 주변의 장애물 정보, 주변의 교통 정보, 도로의 상태 정보, 및 날씨와 관련된 적어도 하나 이상의 정보를 검출하는 센서부; 및 상기 센서부를 통해 검출된 정보를 바탕으로 주행 상태와 환경, 및 충돌 가능성을 분석하여, 충돌 회피를 위한 조향 및 제동부를 제어하고, 충돌 회피 불가 판단 시 승객의 상해가 최소가 될 수 있는 주행경로를 결정하여 상기 조향 및 제동부를 제어하는 제어부;를 포함한다.
