The present invention relates to a traffic information guide display device comprising: an electronic paper module for displaying traffic information to be displayed by changing a voltage applied to charged particles provided between electrodes facing each other; an illumination sensor for detecting illumination of an environment where the electronic paper module is installed; an auxiliary light source unit for irradiating light to the electronic paper module; and a control module for controlling the electronic paper module to display traffic information received through a communications module to be displayed on the electronic paper module and controlling the auxiliary light source unit to be driven when it is determined that the illumination detected in the illumination sensor is less than or equal to reference illumination corresponding to dark-field conditions. The traffic information guide display device is capable of displaying traffic guide information even with power generated in a small-sized solar cell module, thereby reducing installation constraints on power supply and allowing information to be displayed even at night.

    본 발명은 교통정보 안내 표시장치에 관한 것으로서, 상호 대향되는 전극 사이에 마련된 대전 입자들에 대해 인가되는 전압을 변화시켜 표시대상 교통정보를 표시하는 전자 종이 모듈과, 전자 종이 모듈이 설치된 환경의 조도를 검출하는 조도센서와, 전자 종이 모듈에 광을 조사하는 보조 광원부와, 통신모듈을 통해 수신된 교통정보가 전자 종이 모듈에 표시되게 전자 종이 모듈을 제어하고, 조도센서에서 검출된 조도가 암시야 조건에 해당하는 기준조도 이하인 것으로 판단되면 보조 광원부가 가동되게 제어하는 제어모듈을 구비한다. 이러한 교통정보 안내 표시장치는 소형 태양전지모듈에서 생성된 전력으로도 교통 안내 정보를 표시할 수 있어 전력공급에 대한 설치 제약 조건을 완화시킬 수 있으며 야간에도 정보 표시가 가능한 장점을 제공한다.
