The present invention relates to a driving mode extension system applied to a hybrid vehicle and a driving mode extension method, wherein CDA mode control that converts a cylinder of an engine (10) to an idle state is performed, or CDA mode non-operation control that does not operate a variable valve control mechanism (20) in an engine stop mode (or engine non-drive driving mode) is performed, thereby engine friction reduction through the extended CDA mode provides a direct fuel efficiency improvement.

    본 발명의 하이브리드 차량에 적용된 운행모드확장 시스템과 운행모드확장방법으로 엔진(10)의 기통을 휴지 상태로 전환시켜 주는 CDA 모드 제어를 수행하거나 또는 엔진정지모드(또는 엔진 미 구동 주행모드)시 가변밸브 제어기구(20)를 작동하지 않는 CDA 모드 미작동 제어를 수행함으로써 확장된 CDA 모드를 통한 엔진마찰 저감이 직접적인 연비개선 효과를 주는 특징을 갖는다.
