The present invention relates to a liquid hydrogen carrying vessel with a fuel cell mounted thereon and an operation method thereof, which can mount the fuel cell in the liquid hydrogen carrying vessel and link the fuel cell with other devices provided in the liquid hydrogen carrying vessel, thereby increasing efficiency and providing an eco-friendly vessel. According to the present invention, the liquid hydrogen carrying vessel with a fuel cell mounted thereon comprises: a liquid hydrogen storage tank storing liquid hydrogen; a ballast water treatment device generating ozone to sterilize ballast water; an oxygen generator generating oxygen to produce the ozone; the fuel cell producing demand power in the carrying vessel using high purity oxygen generated by the oxygen generator and evaporated gas generated in the liquid hydrogen storage tank; and a fuel supply device supplying the evaporated gas generated in the liquid hydrogen storage tank to the fuel cell.

    본 발명은 액체수소 운반선에 연료전지를 탑재하고, 연료전지를 액체수소 운반선에 설치되는 다른 장치들과 연계하여 효율을 개선하며, 친환경 선박을 제공할 수 있는, 연료전지를 탑재한 액체수소 운반선 및 연료전지의 운용 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 연료전지를 탑재한 액체수소 운반선은, 액체수소를 저장하는 액체수소 저장탱크; 및 오존을 생성하여 밸러스트 수를 살균처리하는 밸러스트 수 처리장치; 상기 오존을 생성하기 위해 산소를 생성하는 산소 생성기; 상기 산소 생성기에서 생성된 고순도의 산소와 상기 액체수소 저장탱크에서 생성된 증발가스를 이용하여 상기 운반선 내 수요 전력을 생산하는 연료전지; 및 상기 액체수소 저장탱크에서 생성된 증발가스를 상기 연료전지로 공급하는 연료 공급장치;를 포함한다.
