Provided by the present invention are an EV power system using a battery balancing circuit and a method of operating the same. The EV power system using a battery balancing circuit proposed in the present invention includes a high DC-DC converter (HDC) for supplying power generated from the high voltage battery of the battery unit to a motor, and a battery unit. The battery unit includes: a high voltage battery which generates power to drive a motor; a low voltage battery which is to provide power to an electric field load; a first balancing circuit for a battery management system (BMS) of a high voltage battery; and a second balancing circuit for a battery management system (BMS) of a low voltage battery. The state of charge (SOC) of the high voltage battery and the low voltage battery is balanced through the first balancing circuit and the second balancing circuit. The present invention is able to lower price.

    배터리 밸런싱 회로를 이용한 EV 파워 시스템 및 그 동작 방법이 제시된다. 본 발명에서 제안하는 배터리 밸런싱 회로를 이용한 EV 파워 시스템은 배터리부의 고전압 배터리에서 생성된 전력을 모터에 공급하는 HDC(High DC-DC Converter) 및 배터리부를 포함하고, 상기 배터리부는, 모터를 구동시키기 위한 전력을 생성하는 고전압 배터리, 전장 부하에 전원을 공급하기 위한 저전압 배터리, 고전압 배터리의 배터리 관리 시스템(Battery Management System; BMS)을 위한 제1 밸런싱 회로 및 저전압 배터리의 배터리 관리 시스템(Battery Management System; BMS)을 위한 제2 밸런싱 회로를 포함하고, 제1 밸런싱 회로 및 제2 밸런싱 회로를 통해 고전압 배터리와 저전압 배터리의 SOC(State of Charge)를 밸런싱한다.
