The present invention relates to an electric vehicle power system to solve a price problem caused by LDC, a disadvantage of an EV power system and to a control method thereof. The electric vehicle power system proposed by the present invention comprises: a battery unit; and a high DC-DC converter (HDC) for supplying power generated by a high voltage battery of the battery unit to a motor, wherein the battery unit includes the high voltage battery for generating power for driving the motor and a low voltage battery for supplying power to an electric load. In addition, the high voltage battery includes a switching circuit to control a charging mode of the high voltage battery and the low voltage battery through the switching circuit.

    EV 전력 시스템의 단점인 LDC로 인한 가격 문제를 해결하기 위한 전기자동차 전력 시스템 및 그 제어방법이 제시된다. 일 측면에 있어서, 본 발명에서 제안하는 전기자동차 전력 시스템은 배터리부의 고전압 배터리에서 생성된 전력을 모터에 공급하는 HDC(High DC-DC Converter) 및 배터리부를 포함하고, 상기 배터리부는, 모터를 구동시키기 위한 전력을 생성하는 고전압 배터리 및 전장 부하에 전원을 공급하기 위한 저전압 배터리를 포함하고, 고전압 배터리는 스위칭 회로를 포함하여 상기 스위칭 회로를 통해 고전압 배터리 및 저전압 배터리의 충전 모드를 제어한다.
