The present invention includes: an expected speed calculating step in which a controller calculates an expected speed of a corresponding vehicle based on an average vehicle speed on a driving road and an average vehicle speed of a driver; a driving state determining step in which whether the vehicle is stably driving is determined based on the expected speed and the current speed of the vehicle; a reference value correction step in which if the vehicle is determined to be stably driving, a basic engine-on reference value set to turn on the engine in accordance with demanded power and a basic engine-off reference value set to turn off the engine are corrected as a corrected engine-on reference value and a corrected engine-off reference value respectively considering the current speed and the expected speed; and an engine-off step in which if the demanded power rises and reaches the corrected engine-on reference value during the driving of the vehicle, the engine is turned on, and if the demanded power drops and reaches the corrected engine-off reference value, the engine is turned off. Therefore, the present invention is capable of improving the fuel efficiency of a hybrid vehicle.

    본 발명은 컨트롤러가 운전자평균차속과 주행중인 도로의 도로평균차속을 기반으로 해당 차량의 기대속도를 산출하는 기대속도산출단계와; 상기 차량의 현재속도와 상기 기대속도를 기초로 차량이 안정된 주행 상황인지를 판단하는 주행상황판단단계와; 차량이 안정된 주행 상황이라고 판단되면, 요구파워에 따라 엔진을 켜도록 설정된 기본엔진온기준값 및 엔진을 끄도록 설정된 기본엔진오프기준값을 각각 상기 기대속도와 현재속도를 고려하여 보정엔진온기준값 및 보정엔진오프기준값으로 보정하는 기준값보정단계와; 차량의 주행 중 운전자의 요구파워가 상승하여 상기 보정엔진온기준값에 이르면 엔진을 켜고, 운전자의 요구파워가 하강하여 상기 보정엔진오프기준값에 이르면 엔진을 끄는 엔진온오프단계;를 포함하여 구성된다.
