The present invention relates to a fail-safe control method for a hybrid electric vehicle and, more specifically, provides a fail-safe control method for a hybrid electric vehicle in which the vehicle is driven in a limp-home mode, when a motor generator of a power transmission system of an engine malfunctions, thereby ensuring vehicle driving reliability and preventing the vehicle from becoming inoperable.

    본 발명은 하이브리드 차량의 페일 세이프 제어 방법에 관한 것으로, 상세하게는 엔진 동력전달계의 모터 제너레이터의 고장 시 림프 홈(Limp Home) 모드로 천이하여 안정적인 차량 주행이 가능하도록 하고 주행 불가 상황이 발생하는 것을 방지하는 하이브리드 차량의 페일 세이프 제어 방법을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.
