The present invention provides a system and a method for passenger safety after airbag deployment, wherein after airbag deployment, a driving will of a driver is determined at first to normally control and drive an engine when there is the driving will. Therefore, the driver directly drives a vehicle, and can urgently escape from an accident point. When there is no driving will, an engine torque limit is controlled, and engine stop control or the like to prevent operation of a fuel pump, an engine cooling fan, or the like is performed in order. Therefore, secondary damage caused by an engine fire or the like can be prevented.

    본 발명은 에어백 전개 후 운전자의 주행의지를 우선 판단하여, 주행의지가 있는 경우에는 정상적인 엔진 제어 및 구동이 이루어질 수 있도록 함으로써, 운전자가 직접 운전하면서 사고 지점으로부터 긴급하게 탈출할 수 있도록 하고, 반면 주행의지가 없는 경우에는 엔진토크 제한 제어와 함께 연료펌프 및 엔진 쿨링팬 등의 작동을 금지하는 엔진 정지 제어 등을 순차 진행함으로써, 엔진 화재 등으로 인한 2차 피해를 방지할 수 있도록 한 에어백 전개 후 승객 안전 유도 시스템 및 방법을 제공하고자 한 것이다.
