The present invention relates to a method to detect sleepiness of a driver and, more specifically, to a method to detect sleepiness of a driver, which correctly detects the sleepiness of the driver and informs the driver of a sleepiness risky state when detecting the sleepiness of the driver. According to the present invention, the method comprises: a step a) of measuring a heart rate variability (HRV) to acquire heart rate data; a step b) of measuring a heart rate and a respiration rate; a step c) of performing fast Fourier transform (FFT) with respect to the heart rate data when the measured heart and respiration rates are maintained or lowered so as to calculate a low frequency (LF) and a high frequency (HF); a step d) of acquiring each sum of the LF and HF calculated by the FFT; and a step e) of calculating a ratio (LF/HF) of the sum of the LF with respect to the sum of HF to determine sleepiness. When the sleepiness is detected in the step e), a sleepiness warning alarm is operated.

    본 발명은 운전자 졸음 검출 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 정확하게 운전자의 졸음을 검출하고, 운전자의 졸음이 검출되었을 때 운전자에게 졸음 발생 위험 상태를 알리기 위한 운전자 졸음 검출 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 구성은 a) 심박변이도(HRV)를 측정하여 심박데이터를 얻는 단계; b) 심박수 및 호흡량을 측정하는 단계; c) 측정된 상기 심박수 및 호흡량이 유지 또는 저하될 경우, 상기 심박데이터에 대해 고속푸리에변환(FFT)을 수행하여 저주파(LF) 및 고주파(HF)를 연산하는 단계; d) 고속푸리에변환에 따라 연산된 상기 저주파 및 고주파의 총합을 얻는 단계; 및 e) 상기 저주파 총합 대비 고주파 총합의 비(LF/HF)를 연산하여 졸음여부를 검출하는 단계를 포함하며, 상기 e) 단계에서, 졸음이 검출될 경우, 졸음 경고 알림을 작동시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 운전자 졸음 검출 방법을 제공한다.
