The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an alternative load-support assembly and a load-support assembly. A load-support assembly according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises at least one tension member. The tension member has at least one additive that provides fire resistance properties to the tension member, a reinforcement fiber and a resin. A jacket material covers the at least one tension member.
