A low-sulfur marine fuel trunk piston diesel engine lubricant of the present invention contains: an over-based metal detergent; zinc dihydrocarbyl dithiophosphate; optionally, an amine-based antioxidant; and a borated ashless dispersant. The lubricant exhibits improved heat and oxidation stability, and improved high temperature cleaning performance.
