The present invention relates to a touch pad and an operation method thereof wherein the touch pad can perform various kinds of operations and malfunctions can be prevented. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the touch pad comprises: a first touch unit having icons formed thereon; and a second touch unit connected to the first touch unit. The first and second touch units sense a location a user touches and pressure applied by the user. The first and second touch units perform a predetermined operation in accordance with the user′s touch and pressure. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the operation method of the touch pad comprises the following steps of: allowing an input device to recognize a touch; allowing the input device to recognize pressure of the touch; and allowing the input device to perform an operation in accordance with the level of the pressure.

    실시예에 따른 터치 패드는, 아이콘이 형성되는 제 1 터치부; 및 상기 제 1 터치부와 연결되는 2 터치부를 포함하고, 상기 제 1 터치부 및 상기 제 2 터치부는 사용자가 터치하는 위치 및 사용자가 인가하는 압력을 감지하고, 상기 제 1 터치부 및 상기 제 2 터치부는 사용자의 터치 및 압력에 따라 기설정된 동작을 수행한다. 실시예에 따른 터치 패드 동작 방법은 입력 장치가 터치를 인식하는 단계; 상기 입력 장치가 상기 터치의 압력을 인식하는 단계; 및 상기 입력 장치가 상기 압력의 크기에 따른 동작을 실행하는 단계를 포함한다.
