The present invention relates to a flyback active balancing control apparatus, and a method thereof. According to the present invention, voltage of a plurality of battery cells constituting a battery string is switched by PWM to store magnetizing energy. In addition, a driving circuit is activated by determining whether a polarity of voltage induced in secondary windings is the same as that of previously designed one while refluxing the magnetization energy. Therefore, energy (voltage) of the battery cells charged higher than an average is discharged through a current flow path in which a MOSFET connected to each of the battery cells is conducted in a forward direction. Also, the magnitude of a charging current is appropriately distributed to the insufficiently charged battery cells in inverse proportion to the charging amount through the current flow path of a circuit operated by synchronous rectifiers, and thus the battery cells can be rapidly equalized. Furthermore, a driving circuit simply configured by including a comparator in which inversion and non-inversion input sides are respectively connected to both ends of the secondary windings for each battery circuit, is arranged, and the polarity of the voltage induced in the secondary windings is determined to easily drive circuits of the synchronous rectifiers.

    본 발명은 배터리 스트링을 구성하는 복수개의 배터리 셀의 전압을 PWM스위칭하여 자화 에너지를 저장하고, 자화 에너지를 환류시키면서 2차 권선에 유기된 전압의 극성이 미리 설계된 것과 동일한 지를 판단하여 구동회로를 활성화시켜 각 배터리 셀에 연결된 MOSFET가 순방향으로 도통되는 전류흐름 통로를 통해 평균보다 높게 충전된 배터리 셀의 에너지(전압)가 방전되고 또한 동기정류기로 작동되는 회로의 전류흐름 통로를 통해 부족 충전된 배터리 셀로 충전량에 반비례하여 충전전류의 크기를 적절하게 분배함으로써 복수개의 배터리 셀을 신속하게 균일화시킬 수 있다. 또한 복수개의 배터리 회로마다 반전 및 비반전 입력측이 상기 2차 권선의 양단에 각각 연결되는 비교기를 포함하여 간단히 구성된 구동회로를 배치하고 상기 복수의 2차 권선에 유기된 전압의 극성을 판단하여 용이하게 상기 복수의 동기정류기 회로를 구동시킬 수 있는 특징이 있다.
