The present invention relates to a traction battery (10) having the following characteristics. The traction battery (10) includes a cell module (11) for storing electrical energy, and a housing for storing the cell module (11). The traction battery (10) also includes a sensor (12) having a purpose of measuring the mechanical load of the cell module (11). The present invention also makes a corresponding vehicle available.
