The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for improving lane visibility. The apparatus for improving lane visibility according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a photographing unit for photographing the periphery of a vehicle, a detecting unit for detecting a lane in a peripheral image obtained from the photographing unit, and an output unit for outputting the image of the detected lane detected by the detection unit on at least one of a rear view mirror, a side view mirror, and a windshield of the vehicle. Accordingly, a driver can clearly recognize the lane.

    본 발명은 차선 시인성 향상 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 차선 시인성 향상 장치는 차량의 주변을 촬영하는 촬영부, 상기 촬영부로부터 획득되는 주변 영상에서 차선을 검출하는 검출부, 및 상기 검출부에서 검출된 검출 차선의 영상을 상기 차량의 룸 미러, 사이드 미러, 앞유리 중 적어도 하나에서 화면출력하는 출력부를 포함한다.
