The present invention is interface and system technology, regarding an on board diagnostic (OBD) device. A micro controller unit (MCU) of the OBD checks whether a vehicle is in a normal driving state or in an ignition state by starting the vehicle, or in a stopped state with the ignition turned off. During the stopped state, the MCU of the OBD enters a sleep mode to minimize the power consumption of the OBD device. During the driving state turned on the ignition, the MCU detects a vehicle battery condition to enter a wake up normal OBD operation mode. Regardless of a type of a vehicle, brand, and a system composition of an electronic unit, the system has compatibility with the detection in the ignition.

    본 발명은 자동차 OBD(On Board Diagnostic)장치에 있어 OBD의 MCU(Micro Controller Unit)가 자동차가 시동을 걸어 정상 운행 혹은 시동 상태인지 아니면 시동이 꺼진 정지 상태인지를 체크하여 정지 상태이면 OBD의 MCU가 슬립모드로 들어가 OBD장치 전력 소모를 최소화하고, 시동이 걸려 운행상태이면 MCU가 깨어(Wakeup) 정상 OBD작동 모드로 들어가기 위해 자동차 배터리 상태를 감지하는 인터페이스 및 시스템 구성 기술로 차량의 종류나 메이커 그리고 전장품의 시스템 구성에 관계없이 시동 감지에 호환성을 가진다.
