An apparatus for sensing the passing of a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a sensor signal receiving unit for receiving a sensor signal from a plurality of piezoelectric sensors, a recognizing unit for storing an input identification number corresponding to the piezoelectric sensor which transmits the sensor signal in a buffer if the sensor signal is equal to or greater than a threshold value, and a contact signal generating unit for outputting a contact signal if the identification number is sequentially stored in all the storage spaces of the buffer. Accordingly, the present invention can distinguish the kind of a vehicle without a separate device and automatically determine whether each vehicle passes or not.
