The present invention relates to a room mirror device with an on-board unit (OBE) for dedicated short range communication (DSRC) which installs one or more OBE antennae to match an OBE receiving direction to a transmission beam direction of a main lobe of an RSE base station installed on a toll gate of a highway, and selects an antenna with best receiving power. The room mirror device with an OBE for DSRC comprises: a room mirror housing unit attached to a vehicle by a support; an antenna plate which is mounted on a rear surface of the room mirror housing unit, and arranges a plurality of transceiving antennae for transceiving with road side equipment (RSE); a button and external event input unit to select an operating mode of the antennae; and an information processing module which is included in the room mirror housing unit, and transceives with the road side equipment (RSE) via the transceiving antennae to process a charge by an electric toll collection system (ETCS). The information processing module selects a transceiving antenna with the largest receiving signal strength among the plurality of transceiving antennae to use the selected transceiving antenna to process a charge. According to the room mirror device, an antenna with a high receiving level is selected among a plurality of OBE antennae to always maintain a minimum receiving level required for demodulation and calculate a charge without an error.

    본 발명은 고속도로 톨게이트에 설치된 RSE 기지국 주엽(main lobe)의 송신 빔 방향에 OBE 수신 방향이 일치되도록 OBE 안테나를 하나 이상 설치하고 가장 좋은 수신전력을 갖는 안테나를 선택하도록 하는, 전용근거리통신(DSRC)용 차량단말기가 장착된 룸미러 장치에 관한 것으로, 지지대에 의해 차량에 부착된 룸미러 하우징부; 상기 룸미러 하우징부의 후면에 장착되고, 노변기지국(RSE)과 송수신을 위한 다수의 송수신 안테나를 배열하는 안테나플레이트; 안테나의 운용모드를 선택하는 버튼 및 외부이벤트 입력부; 및, 상기 룸미러 하우징부 내부에 포함되고, 상기 송수신 안테나를 통해 노변기지국(RSE)과 송수신하여, 전자지불시스템(ETCS)에 의한 과금을 처리하는 정보처리모듈을 포함하고, 상기 정보처리모듈은 상기 다수의 송수신 안테나 중에서 수신신호크기가 가장 큰 송수신 안테나를 선택하여, 선택된 송수신 안테나를 이용하여 과금을 처리하는 구성을 마련한다. 상기와 같은 룸미러 장치에 의하여, 다수개의 OBE 안테나 중에서 높은 수신레벨의 안테나를 선택함으로써 복조에 필요한 최소 수신레벨을 항상 유지할 수 있고, 에러 없이 요금을 정산할 수 있다.
