The present invention relates to a ball screw-type electro-mechanical brake actuator for a railway vehicle, which comprises: a power unit for generating rotational force by driving an electric motor by a control of a motor controller to which a braking command of a braking ECU of a railway vehicle is inputted; a ball bearing unit for receiving the rotational force of the power unit as a rotary ball bearing; and a screw unit having a screw shaft converting a rotary motion of the rotary ball bearing into straight movement. According to the present invention, an electric motor is used to drive a braking actuator with an electric signal, and thus a space time can be significantly reduced. A brake system which can constantly generate reproducible braking force irrespective of an external temperature change and has rapid response properties and high reliability can be advantageously constructed.

    본 발명은 철도차량용 볼스크류방식의 전기기계식 제동엑츄에이터에 관한 것으로; 철도차량의 제동 ECU의 제동지령이 입력되는 모터제어기의 제어에 의해 전기모터를 구동시켜 회전력을 발생하는 동력부와, 상기 동력부의 회전력을 회전볼베어링으로 전달받는 볼베어링부와, 상기 회전볼베어링의 회전운동을 직진 운동으로 변환하는 스크류축이 구비되는 스크류부로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 전기모터를 채용하여 전기적인 신호로 제동엑츄에이터를 구동함에 따라 공주시간을 획기적으로 단축시킬 수 있으며, 외부 온도변화에 관계없이 재현성 있는 제동력을 일정하게 발생시킬 수 있는 빠른 응답특성 및 높은 신뢰도를 갖는 제동시스템을 구축함에 유리한 효과가 있다.
