The present invention relates to a lighting device for an excavator which comprises: a frame; an arm composed of a plurality of links including a first link which is combined with the front side of the frame in order to rotate, a second link which is combined with the first link in order to rotate, and a third link which is combined with the second link in order to rotate; and a bucket which is combined with the third link in order to rotate. The lighting device placed in an excavator comprises: a plurality of sensor units which are placed in the plurality of links respectively, and measure the angle of the plurality of links respectively; a plurality of lighting units which rotate vertically and horizontally, and radiate light; and a control unit which determines rotation angles of the plurality of the lighting units respectively according to the angles measured by the sensor units. Therefore, the lighting device for an excavator, and a controlling method thereof can improve work efficiency by allowing the lighting units to rotate vertically and horizontally in order to radiate light in a direction corresponding to the tip position of a bucket in order to secure a clear view of the tip position of the bucket where work is in progress, and can prevent a collision accident between an obstacle and a worker by allowing the plurality of the lighting units to rotate vertically and horizontally respectively in order to widen the radius of irradiation through the lighting units.

    본 발명에 의한 굴삭기용 조명장치는, 프레임과, 상기 프레임의 전방에 회동가능하게 결합되는 제 1링크와, 상기 제 1링크에 회동가능하게 결합되는 제 2링크와, 상기 제 2링크에 회동가능하게 결합되는 제 3링크를 포함하는 복수개의 링크들로 구성되는 암과, 상기 제 3링크에 회동가능하게 결합되는 버켓을 포함하는 굴삭기에 구비되는 굴삭기용 조명장치에 있어서, 상기 복수개의 링크들에 각각 구비되며, 상기 복수개의 링크들의 각도를 각각 측정하는 복수개의 센서부; 상하 및 좌우로 회동하고, 빛을 조사하는 복수개의 조명유닛; 및 상기 센서부에서 측정된 각도에 따라 상기 복수개의 조명유닛의 각각의 회전각을 결정하는 제어부를 포함한다. 본 발명에 따른 굴삭기용 조명장치 및 그 제어방법은, 조명유닛이 버켓의 끝위치에 대응하는 방향으로 조사되도록 상하 및 좌우로 회동가능함으로써, 작업이 진행되는 버켓의 끝위치의 시야를 확보함으로써 작업효율이 향상된다. 또한 복수개의 조명유닛이 각각 상하 및 좌우로 회동가능함으로써, 조명유닛을 통하여 조사되는 반경이 넓어 장애물 및 작업자와 충돌하는 사고를 미연에 방지할 수 있다.
