The present invention relates to a hybrid electric bicycle, which operates rear wheels of a bicycle with an electric motor during a manual operation, enables the manual operation by disconnecting the electric motor and the rear wheels through a transfer unit in a state of being operated by the electric motor, and enables the manual operation by disconnecting the electric motor and the rear wheels even when the electric motor fails. An electric bicycle of the present invention, which is operated by a battery and a motor, comprises: a chain ring coupled between a crank and a rotary shaft to which pedals of a bicycle are coupled, and coupled with a chain connected to rear wheels; a sub-chain ring formed on the rotary shaft between the chain ring and a frame of the bicycle to be rotated separately from a rotation of the rotary shaft; an electric motor connected to the sub-chain ring through a driving chain, and driven by a power of a connected battery; a transfer unit for transferring the driving chain connected to the electric motor toward the chain ring; and a control unit connected to the electric motor to control the same. The electric motor is operated by the control unit, and the driving chain is transferred toward the chain ring or the sub-chain ring through the transfer unit. Therefore, a driving force of the electric motor is transferred to or blocked from the rear wheels through the chain ring.

    본 발명은 수동운행 중 전동모터로 자전거의 뒷바퀴를 구동시키고, 전동모터로 구동되는 상태에서 이송부를 통해 전동모터와 뒷바퀴 간의 연결을 끊어 수동으로 운행이 가능하도록 하며, 전동모터의 고장시에도 전동모터와 뒷바퀴의 연결을 끊어 수동 운행이 가능하도록 하는 하이브리드 전기자전거에 관한 것으로서, 배터리와 모터를 통해 구동되는 전기 자전거를 포함하며, 자전거의 페달이 결합되는 크랭크와 회전축 간에 결합되며, 뒷바퀴에 연결되는 체인이 결합되는 체인링; 상기 체인링과 자전거의 프레임 간의 회전축에 형성되어 회전축의 회전과 별개로 회전되는 부체인링; 상기 부체인링과 구동체인을 통해 연결되며, 연결되는 배터리의 전원으로 구동되는 전동모터; 상기 전동모터에 연결되는 구동체인을 체인링 측으로 이송시키는 이송부 및 상기 전동모터와 연결되어 전동모터를 제어하는 제어부를 포함하여, 상기 전동모터를 제어부를 통해 작동시키고, 이송부를 통해 구동체인을 체인링측 또는 부체인링측으로 이송시켜 전동모터의 구동력을 체인링을 통해 뒷바퀴로 전달 또는 차단하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
